Son of Paul (a career police officer) and Linda Lalonde (senior care provider), and brother to Danny Lalonde, I was born in Montreal, Quebec and I grew up in Ottawa. My family has always been a huge inspiration to me. They have taught me values of dedication, hard work and perseverance through hard times, but most importantly, my parents have taught me the value of serving others.
When I was 17, I joined the army and over the past 23 years I had the honour of serving my country in the Canadian Armed Forces, first as a Reservist and then in the Regular Force. I joined the military to fight for people who couldn’t fight for themselves. I wanted to dedicate my life to something greater.
I believe that you should always be learning so I have focused on education throughout my career. I have a BA and Masters in History from the University of Waterloo.
After I left the army, I got involved in politics to continue my service to Canada through other means, by representing the people of Ottawa West-Nepean, and taking a stand on the issues that matter the most.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone in the riding to discuss what really matters to you. Please send any questions you have to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. I want to put people first. I want to hear from you!
